About The Event

Meraki'26 happened on 13 February 2026 at Acharya Hall, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Poetree put together an evening around love - not just the romantic kind, but the patriotic, the platonic, the kind that lingers after heartbreak. The night moved through solo recitals, a patriotic rendition, a Hindi shayari read first in Urdu script before the English translation, and Cycle of Love, a poetry sequence where different performers each took one stage of the same feeling: the initial spark, the confession, the doubt, and finally, the letting go or holding on. There was also a performance piece about two strangers briefly sharing space in a crowd before their paths split again. A two-part series, Love and Other Miseries, ran through the evening offering two sides of the same argument. Poetree has been doing this for a while now, making room for the kinds of feelings that don't fit anywhere else.
